Data Power was founded in 1992 and is owned and operated by Herb Daum. Initially focusing on providing desktop publishing and word processing services, Data Power has since grown to fill other needs, mostly related to computers and their use. A combination of institution-based training on PC hardware and software and a wide range of "hands-on" experience in diverse environments has provided Data Power with a broad knowledge base and skills with computers. By facing increasingly challenging tasks our experience and skills set continues to grow. This enables us to provide the best, and often unique, solutions to the broad range of needs that clients present. The combination of our expertise, integrity and our commitment to provide quality service generates a long list of loyal customers, an important factor contributing to the continued growth of Data Power.

Data Power is the proud recipient of the 1996 Powell River of Chamber of Commerce Award “Best Home-Based Business of 1995”. Data Power is a long standing member of the Powell River Chamber of Commerce. Their logo is a link to their site.

If you are wondering, the first word of the business's name "Data Power" is pronounced "day-tah", the same as "Data", the name of the android character played by Brent Spiner on the TV series "Star Trek - The Next Generation".
